The homeowners, Sandy and Ken Reinhard, requested their new home take full advantage of this spectacular property on Kent Island. The house was designed with a large expanse of windows, a screen porch and a “Sunset Room” with balcony to maximize views that include the Chesapeake Bay, Gibson Island and sunset over the Bay Bridge. The house takes its cues from local lighthouses and features a central winding stairway that leads to the Belvedere, where osprey can be observed diving for their dinner. Above the two car garage is Ken’s Studio where he designs world renown award-winning furniture. The Basement houses a fully equipped woodworking shop where Ken builds furniture as well as ceramics and stained glass.
